The benefits of using MLS® in the treatment of horse pathologies: this was the theme of the “In-depth analysis of MLS® Laser Therapy in Hippiatrics” course, which was held in the horse stables of the agricultural holding “Casa Alfredo” (Magnago). The meeting specifically addressed a limited number of animal well-being technicians, long-time users of ASAveterinary’s therapy and was divided into a theoretical session and a practical one held by Doctor Francesca Rosso, (DVM, SIAV Acupuncturist and Equine Therapist, owner of the “Equifisio” centre).
After an introductory part dedicated to the features and methods of use of the Mphi Equine device, the training session concentrated on presenting several clinical cases involving the musculo-tendinous apparatus, dermatological issues, osteoarticular pathologies and post-surgical treatment.
“The participants – Alberto Zaghetto, ASA’s Area Manager explains – were particularly interested in both the presentation of “Total Body Performante/High-Performance Total Body” which combined a holistic approach with acupuncture, and in the practical session. Divided into various aspects concerning diagnostics and the application of MLS®, the hands-on section concentrated on the global assessment of the horse, on the choice of the protocol to be used according to the issue to be treated, on the correct use of the handpieces and of the points light guide for laser puncture: all aspects which the participants considered relevant for maximising the results obtainable”.
