New case reports highlight the effectiveness of MLS® Laser Therapy for treating both common issues in pets and more unusual ones. An example is provided by the case of a Golden Retriever which was bitten on the paw by a garden spider and risked losing it because of the visible and extended necrotic lesion which ensued.
Despite the correct therapy and antibiotics being administered, there was a rapid worsening of its condition which convinced the doctors to support the medication with MLS® Laser Therapy sessions in order to try to avoid amputation of the limb and to speed up the healing of the large lesion caused by the necrosis.
Four months after the MLS® sessions began, the wound was almost completely re-epithelised and the progression of the necrosis was blocked.
The result? Paw saved and motility recovered.
The case report therefore evidences how the application of MLS® Laser Therapy played a major role in the healing process of a severe lesion and also helped to avoid surgery.
