Emphasising the effectiveness of MLS® Laser Therapy when treating common issues in equines: this is the premise for the workshop organised by the ASAveterinary team with the support of our local distributor MNED.
Guided by the specialist Patrick Herbots, the participants, some of whom are long-time users of MLS®, were able to analyse its strengths in successfully tackling common issues in horses, but also to discover further areas for its application.

Experiences that are expressed as clinical cases whose solution confirms MLS® as a valuable answer. An example is provided by the case of Donna Karan, outlined by Judith Huizinga, Director and laser specialist at the Center for Animal Laser Therapy (CALT). The horse, a 12 year old Dutch, had a longstanding severe depigmentation of the skin where the bridle rubbed, that no topical treatment (creams) had been able to solve. Instead, after 10 MLS® Laser Therapy treatments with the “wound” and “contaminated wound” protocols, the horse gradually regained its skin colouring, until over the space of 2 months it reacquired its original brown with a full regrowth of the coat.
