Species: Cat
Breed: European
Sex: Neutered female
Age: 6 YO
Clinical case: Stella is affected by eosinophilic granuloma syndrome, and, as a typical clinical sign of this pathology, an acute buccal lesion showed up; due to pain and swelling, the cat could not close the mouth and was off her food.
Therapy: This cat has been treated every other day, then every third day, with 8 total MLS®Laser Therapy sessions; treatment has been applied externally, on a closed mouth, using the 3,14 cm² target area handpiece on 3 precise points along the lips: two bilateral points and a third, rostral point.
After 3 treatments Stella got back to her food, the lesion showed a less intense colour and a decrease in volume of 30%.
After 6 treatments the cat was able to close her mouth almost completely, and the lesion decreased its volume of 60%.
At the end of the cycle, the lesion had almost completely disappeared, and Stella got back to her usual daily routine. 3 months later, that lesion has not showed any sign of recurrency.
