Species: Dog
Breed: Pinscher
Gender: Male
Age: 4 YO
Name: Percy
Clinical case: During a walk, Percy was attacked by a big size dog and was bitten several times in the lower back, hips and legs. Percy had deep lacerations with plenty of tissue loss.
Therapy: Percy had surgery to try to close the wounds to the sides and to apply a drainage.
The massive tissue loss due to the trauma and to the subsequent surgical curettage, made the complete closure of the lesion impossible. Percy's wounds had post surgery dehiscence. He had a wound healing by secondary intention.
Percy had MLS® Laser Therapy 3 times a week up to 11 sessions.
When not submitted to therapy, Percy had topical treatment and was bandaged to prevent contamination of the wound.
Healing of the left side wound almost complete and right side wound complete after the last session of MLS® Laser Therapy.
