The scheduled training sessions by Celtic SMR, the ASAlaser distributor for the UK, continue with the objective of reinforcing its role as the reference provider in the therapeutic sector.
Two days of training concerning the use of MLS® Laser Therapy applied to the equine field were organised in the UK in collaboration with Dr Tatjana Falconi, a veterinary expert in the treatment of horses.
A theoretical and practical course dedicated to MLS® users in the UK equine field was planned for 19th October at the Highfields yard in Warwickshire, the propriety of Halina Tombs, a physiotherapist expert in horses, with the aim of developing their knowledge of therapy protocols. The training was co-ordinated by Halina Tombs, a veterinary therapist with many years’ experience as “chief Physio” at the two big international events: “Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials” and “Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials”, and by Dr Peter Sclater, BVSc CertEP MRCVS, a veterinarian specialised in horses, both Mphi Equine Orange system users.
The training session registered considerable interest by the participants who, at the end, asked Peter and Halina many questions concerning therapy results linked to their activities: a profitable exchange of knowledge and of in-depth studies in relation to their experiences with MLS®.
A training session concerning the use of Mphi Equine Orange device was organised for the following day at the Barrettston Equine Clinic, a part of the Hampden Veterinary Hospital, for the medical team consisting of 12 members, 6 vets and 6 nurses. This training session also saw a great participation concerning the therapeutic opportunities offered by MLS® in the light of the positive cases treated by Dr E. Brett mvB MRCVS, the team doctor.
