Over 120 exhibitors, more than 800 vets and specialists from 62 different countries: these are the numbers for the thirty-fifth edition of the World Veterinary Association Congress – WVAC (Convention Centre, Costa Rica – 27/30 April), organised by the Cost Rican Colegio de Médicos Veterinarios.
The meeting was spread over 3 days during which several renowned speakers from all over the world took turns to discuss new treatment, disease prevention and animal welfare prospects and was also attended by ASAveterinary together with its local partner, Sire Vet, with 3 stands.
“Many vets visited us each day, including Doctor Silvia Coto, President of the Colegio de Médicos Veterinarios of Costa Rica, in order to analyse the uses and benefits of MLS® Laser Therapy. There was particular interest – as Karla Salazar, ASA’s Export Area Manager specifies – shown by those professionals who specialise in exotic species, small animals and bovines to whom we also demonstrated the various treatment protocols specific for the pathologies which affect these animals, thanks to the presence of the Mphi Vet device in our exhibition area”.
Laser Therapy was also the focus of some in-depth analysis scheduled by the congress’ scientific programme, including “Abscess problems in the legs of 2 Asian elephants and laser therapy treatment – Effects of laser therapy for chronic issues in 2 geriatric elephants” given by MVZ Maria from the Zacango Ecological Park Zoo (Mexico).
“Our attendance at this Congress was very useful in order to promote the value of our therapy and brand name in Latin American countries, given the participation of visitors from Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama and Columbia” concludes Salazar.
