I am Ana Paola Lozano, a zootechnical veterinarian, specialised in physiotherapy and rehabilitation of small animals with a master's degree in exotic species. I practice in Mexico, where I carry out all my clinical practice.
• Why did you decide to include laser therapy in your practice?
I learned about these procedures during my specialisation in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. I chose it because it seemed to me to be a very effective technique, which allows seeing almost immediate results and which adapts very well to the species I work with.
• How did you discover MLS® and why did you choose it?
I discovered it through the distributor for Mexico, Equipos Interferenciales, and I decided to include it in my practice as it consists of high-quality devices, which I can adapt to both very small and very large animals.
• What are the most obvious benefits of MLS® in the treatment of reptiles and birds?
In reptiles and birds, the main benefits of MLS® Laser Therapy are the reduction in the use of drugs, the reduction in the physical manipulation of these specimens and a faster recovery from diseases.
• And for other unconventional species? For example giraffes and elephants…
For other species, in particular large mammals, I have found many applications for the therapy. When professionally cared for, these animals achieve a life expectancy that they would not have in nature, and therefore often suffer from problems related to ageing.
Using this device has greatly helped us to improve their quality of life and ensure their well-being.
• How would you describe ASA in three words?
Effectiveness, adaptability and quality.
